Altentech’s vertical, small-footprint biomass D-30 dryer is designed to hold the biomass being processed in a controlled, continuously descending mat that is 6" thick and 96" wide. It’s a “direct contact” system.
As this wall of biomass travels from the top to the bottom of the machine heated air is actually drawn through it multiple times ensuring that that all bio-material is evenly and directly dried.
The D-30 biovertidryer has a direct contact drying area of 192 feet square and 8 direct contact channels where heated combustion exhaust gases are drawn through and moisture is pulled out of the biomass being dried.

A fully integrated Process Logic Controlled system monitors moisture content at multiple points during the descent and automatically adjusts the rate of travel.
Because of the highly controlled air movement particulate emissions are greatly reduced
Altentech’s D-20 dryer has been engineered to dry virtually any type of biomass from a moisture content of as high as 80% down to 10%.
